New Cuisinart coffee question?
I have the model with two small black rotary knobs w / the toggle switch in the middle (steel). I experienced w / the different levels of measurement of coffee in this thing, and can not get quite the perfect cup of coffee, or almost perfect, I guess. Instructions are somewhat vague on the measurement. I use coffee mugs standard size, and usually represent only one half of a boat. I grind my own coffee too. Thanks for the suggestions!
I think I have it. You can set the timer, audible signal when they are ready, red light / green light, the steel jar steel, etc. If that is the case, I think I can help. I like using 1 rounded tablespoon (one scoop) per 250 ml (1 cup) of water. My friend likes her style of coffee from Starbucks and use 2 tablespoons per 250 ml of water. The tank sample of 10 "coins", but after three pots, finally discovered is 10 1-cup measures, but is 10 "5-steps of Oz" (really confusing for Canadians who can not ounces) When filling the tanks of 10 "," I use 7 heaping tablespoons. If you like your coffee strong, try to 10 tablespoons to start. That makes a boatload. You have to see how close to half filling and do the math - maybe start with 5 tablespoons half a pot. It is best to water down "American" style of being too weak. If you make half a pot, you can rotate the selection wheel bit to "1-4" that tells you you're doing a small pot and drip through slower. It might work better. By grinding the coffee, if too thick, with weak coffee. If too thin, you get the brown sludge that settles at the bottom of your cup. This pot has worked best for me when I use a grind setting right in the center. Finally, a pot of coffee was horrible last week. Looking at the grains of earth after them, I could see that were drier than usual, light-colored, dark and almost non-greasy as usual.
